My Fees

In general, I believe that you will find that my fees are neither the lowest nor the highest. I keep my overhead low so that I can keep my fees moderate, but I also try to charge enough so that I can afford to give your case the time that it deserves and needs.

You will find that, unlike many attorneys, I won't quote fees until I have had an initial consultation and discussed your case with you in detail. My fees are individualized to your case and specific circumstances, and I can't do that without a consultation.

Furthermore, you are not simply buying a prepackaged item off the shelves of any store which will be the same no matter where you go. You are buying the services of an attorney and each attorney is different --- in ability, in quality of service and in personality. You need to be confident that the attorney you are retaining will be the attorney you want to represent you. You can not determine that by the price he is charging or by a quick telephone call; you can only determine that by taking the time to get to know your attorney before making the decision whether or not retain him or her.

From my side, as an attorney, I want to represent people who care about their goals, who are invested in the process, and who are looking for an attorney they can trust. We can't adequately get to know each other without that initial consultation.

If you are a person who wants to know what the fee will be before you schedule an interview, I apologize. If your case is as important to you as I believe it is, you owe it to yourself to pick your attorney based on the quality of the service that you will receive. The only way you can do that is by actually taking the time to meet with the attorney (in person, over the phone or by e-mail) and getting all of your questions answered. At that point, you will be able to determine if you can afford the cost and if the attorney is worth that price.
