Areas of Law
I limit my practice to family-based visas, citizenship applications, deportation defense and religious worker visas. These are the areas of immigration law that I enjoy the most, and managing my practice in this way allows me to focus my expertise in a way that will most benefit you.
I provide services in the following areas:
- Fiancé Visas for U.S. Citizens
- Immediate Relative Immigrant Petitions
Available for Spouses, Children and Parents of U.S. Citizens. Immediate relative petitions have no waiting period.
- Adoption-based immigration
- Immigrant Petitions for certain other relatives of U.S. Citizens and some Lawful Permanent Residents
The Department of State maintains a waiting list for these cases --- ranging from several years to up to more than twenty years in some cases.
- Adjustment of Status application for Lawful Permanent Residence
This process allows a person to stay in the U.S. and work while the application is being processed. In family cases it is usually only available to spouses, children and parents of U.S. Citizens
- Citizenship
Three years of residence is required for spouses of U.S. Citizens and five years for others. There are special rules for missionaries.
- Religious Worker Visas
Both Immigrant and Non-immigrant visas are available.
- Deportation Defense
Immigration court representation in the Pennsylvania/Maryland/Washington D.C. areas
